Christopher Kane’s show in London was a combination of prim and crazy; in his words, it was "about a delinquent teenager." We saw bold floral appliqués sewn with relish onto short, body-hugging leather dresses reminiscent of a Cheongsam. Lace and high collars were mixed with leather to create a fresh, perplexing look I’d call preteen-meets-cougar. These contradictory style statements somehow cooperate to create the intimidatingly irresistible dual nature of the Kane woman for fall 2010.
