Bottega Veneta in Milan

What would Catwoman wear on her day off? I would argue Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2010 collection would suit her perfectly. This collection was a mixture of ladylike, elegant cocktail frocks and powerful menswear-inspired suits. The color palette was specific and assertive, focusing on plum, forest green, and black. The models wore exaggerated side parts, smoky eyes, neutral lips and cheeks (which served as the perfect foil to the standout clothing).

Bottega showed draped, soft tees paired with loose-fitting pants; anoraks with liquid leggings; suits and dresses made entirely of leather. Black was the go-to color at all times, with accents of plum and forest green – and the occasional solid-colored gown. There were knee-length fur coats in brown and green, as well as draped, asymmetrical sleeveless dresses in dark grey. The whole collection seemed to evoke the femme fatale. From loose-fitting, but super-sexy tuxedo jackets to strong-shouldered mini-dresses, Bottega Veneta has created a collection to clothe the effortlessly stunning man-eater who is their inspiration.
