Mimi Regan Designs
All is Gold
By Polly Bibb
Fashion designer, Mimi Regan debuted her premier collection: All is Gold on May 6, 2010, at the 12th annual Eloise Fashion Show presented by O'More College of Design and Fifth Third Bank.
With more than 800 in attendace, Mimi Regan Designs graced the runway with three fall ready to wear cocktail dresses and one couture dress. Simplicity met sophistication with the 1940's inspired golden strapless dress and her pewter-like silvery dress with black shoulder embellishments. In the purple, burnt-orange sleeved dress, Regan took a 1960's feel and made it her own.
Regan's choice of fabric and elegant embellishments brougth a vintage romance to the collection. No stranger to the fashion world, it is evident that Regan's pieces were those of a designer that knows fashion, understands the female form and has a talented creativity.
Currently, Regan has an internship with Nashville's favorite Manuel and has interned under stylist Libby Callaway. With Callaway, Regan assisted on photo shoots and music video shoots.
Couture was fortunate enough to photograph Regan's first collection and have her couture dress captivate our June cover. We asked Regan her advice for young fashion designers. She replied, "Follow what you love and create as much as you can!"
We look forward to watching Mimi Regan Designs unfold over the next few seasons. She is a talented designer that brings a delightful presence to the fashion industry. Her debut collection, All is Gold is where glamourous fashion meets gorgeous.
